Nizza Monferrato hosts a food and wine festival with a barrel race
"Monferrato at the Table" and the traditional "Barrel Race" are scheduled in Nizza Monferrato from Friday, June 12th to Sunday, June 14th. This food and wine event takes place in Piazza Garibaldi, where various Pro Loco organizations offer a wide range of traditional Monferrato dishes.
The evocative Barrel Race, which dates back to the 19th century, takes place from Saturday to Sunday with qualifying, semifinal, and final races, pitting teams of pushers representing wineries and producers from Nizza Monferrato and neighboring municipalities against each other.
